What Shampoo Should I Use for Hair with Dandruff?

I have dandruff and also VERY THIN hair. I use Garnier Fructis Dandruff Shampoo with the conditioner and shampoo in one bottle. I don't know if that is good for you or not. What shampoo should I use to get rid of dandruff and how do I get more fuller hair ? Thank you in advance!

I don't know about that, but I used head n shoulders and it seems to work for me! It has a bunch of types made especially for you type of hair.

I admit that my head was covered in dandruff and my hair is black so it's even more noticeable.

But once I started using Head N Shoulders, the dandruff slowly disappeared.

I'm happy now haha.

Okay, believe it or not, but I had a huge dandruff problem too. So much so that my hairdresser even commented on it. So my mom got me this special shampoo called Selsun Blue. Yes, it's a man's shampoo and it smells horrible...but it works!

And, ever since using it my hair is dandruff-free, smooth, and un-frizzy.

So if I just spray in something to make my hair smell better, it's perfect!

Oh, and I use a different L'Oreal conditioner, it doesn't effect the shampoo at all.

Girl, put that two one down and pick up Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Shampoo it is the best for itchy flay dandruff scalp. I am a hairstylist and we sell out of the stuff, don't ever waste your money on shampoos with conditioners mixed in. It is only about $13.00 a bottle but come on it's worth the risk of embarrassment, isn't it???????????

Neutragena (sp?) Came out with an awesome dandruff shampoo .. Here's a link of it. You can find it at walmart, target, tops, etc. It's called T/Gel. I used it when I had dandruff, the dandruff disappered really quickly, and my hair looked great. =)

Well this isn't a shampoo but it works really well. A while before you go to bed put a mix of about 1 tablespoon of vinegar and 5 tablespoons of water and rub it all over your head and when your done put a towel around your head and leave it on the whole night and in the morning take a shower and rinse with vinegar water again. Or you could just take a shower and repeat again later before bed. This should help it go away. Do this for a couple of weeks and it should go away.

dandruff is caused when the scalp is dry. it is actually dead cells. is your dandruff flaky or thick like goo. you can never totally get rid of dandruff but you can reduce the amount by regular shampooing. minimise the amount of products you use in your hair as this reduces the build up that remains on your scalp.

Try Head %26amp; Shoulders again. They now have a whole new line for problem hair. Also I don't think shampoos with the conditioner in them are as good for your hair as a seperate shampoo and a conditioner.

I'm not sure, but if Pantene has a dandruff shampoo, you should use that. Pantene makes my hair a little fuller and really shiny and soft. But Garnier Fructis is a good kind of shampoo too, so you could stick with that.

P.S. Try to usethe same brand/type of shampoo. For example, if you use a Garnier Fructis volumizing shampoo, use Garnier Fructis volumizing conditioner.

I love Garnier Fructis, but when I had trouble with Dandruff I just used Motions (it's in a pink and purple bottle) shampoo. But it's a black shampoo, so it might make yo hair greasy, but that's the way I like it :)!
