Blow dryer or hair iron?

Which do u prefer to use? What do u use the most? Does a straightenin iron work better for straightening hair more than a blow dryer does? and is it true that hair irons are more harmful and cause more damage to the hair than a blow dryer does? I usually use a blow dryer and I'm happy with it but I also wanna try the hair iron out but I have thin hair and I heard to use an iron ur hair has to be really thick, is that true? thank you

Blow dryer or hair iron?

Your hair does not have to be thick to use a straightning iron. Blowdrying or ironing hair can cause damage equally depending on what products you use for protection in your hair or the frequency that you use it and the present condition of your hair. The blowdryer's function is to straighten hair and of course dry it, while the iron diminishes the volume of hair and seals the cuticle of your hair. The iron is usually used after blowdrying if you desire a sleek straight look or want to diminish volume if you have a lot of hair or it is coarse. I usually use it after I blowdry to give a polished look (I'm a hairstylist). In my case I have straight hair and sometimes if I want to lessen damage and have time, I wash my hair let it air-dry and iron it out and it looks awesome! It's also very important to use heat protection products, that protect your hair from the damage that electric styling tools can create (blowers, irons and curling irons). I hope this helps!

Blow dryer or hair iron?

your hair does not have to be thick to use a flat iron.

A flat iron works better then a blow dry to make hair straight.

they both are really really bad for your hair.

if you blow dry your hair try using the cool shot button.

I use my flat iron more. My hair gets straight with a blow dryer but not very straight. Its wavy and after time it gets really wavy.

Blow dryer or hair iron?

I use both of them but I prefer blow dryer. and as for straightening iron doing more damage to one hair than blow dryer......... I believe so.I use hair straightener to make my hair straight in certain occasions it works better concerning that matter. but as i said before I prefer blow dryer it makes my hair more alive.

Blow dryer or hair iron?

well you can't use a hair straightener if your hair is wet. since you have to dry it first, i used them about the same amount.

you can try a hair iron. if you want more volume then try layers or teasing at your crown.

Blow dryer or hair iron?

I use both because the blow dryer gives great body and the flat iron straightens the frizzes,(I prefer a ceramic flat iron!) As for which one does the most damage, I would have to say both will damage your hair if you don't use them right. And your hair doesn't have to be thick!

Good Luck!!

Blow dryer or hair iron?

It depends how curly your hair is! Mine is super curly so I have to blow dry it first and then iron it. But flat irons straighten better that blow dryers, for sure! I don't like blow dryers too much because you cannot regulate the temperature. A little too long and your hair gets scorched from the heat. A good ceramic or tourmaline flat iron with temperature control will allow you to set the heat to your hair type. Make sure you only use it on dry hair though, and with a good conditioner and heat protectant. And you shouldn't use a hot tool more than 3 times a week.

Blow dryer or hair iron?

yea

for me leaving it curly looks much better

Blow dryer or hair iron?

i have very fine hair also and i used to use hair straightners a lot it does damage your hair but only if you use ut excessivley

plus you can get creams and serums to put on your hair to protect it before you straigthen it

i actually used to use an iron to sytraighten my hair (on a very low setting silk )and it worked fine as it is the same thing just a bigger surface

but since i wear hijab nowmy hair is blow dryed in the winter and is naturally straight anyway so im not so vain anymore as well
