How do I get straight skinny hair?

whenever I straighten my hair, its soooo thick still. and i wanna get side swept bangs...and wear my hair down and straight. but it always gets so puffy while straightened...it stays straight, but it has so much volume!!! I want it to lay down flat. If this has anything to do with it, my hair is biracial, black and white. My hair is shoulderlength, and my hair ends always flip out. I do, try to curve the iron forward..but i dont want my ends to be curved in, or curved out. i want them straight, and curving them forward does NOT make the ends fall into a place where they are straight.

Iwant it to be thin and flat, but i can't get my hair thinned...cuz my hair is naturally curly and thick and i heard getting curly hair thinned will jack it up.

Go to a Professional stylest and tell them to thin your hair. THIS IS MAJOR, it helps so much! I used to have extreamly, uncontroble thick hair. I told my stylist about it, and she agreed that I should get it thinned. It helped a ton.

straightener your hair with an iron your mom uses to iron your clothes it works the best i promise and is 100% protectice gurantee and just get a friend to do it be sure to do it over the iron board! i do it all the time!! if that doesn't work get a match and light your hair on fire that works good too. You can go to website and use the Volumizing Shampoo and Volumizing Detangler (which is basically used instead of conditioner). I have used it and it is prett good. It will definately take care of dryness in your hair.

Another thing you want to do is drink atleast 8 glasses of water. I know there are are foods that promote healthy shine and growth in hair like black raisins. I know there are more but I can't remember them right now. If you email me at this ID, I can send you list of food items that are suppose to be good for hair and skin.

well try using a curling blow dryer and then use a TON of mouse when your hair is wet. after that, dry it, but not completly. then use your favorite hairspray and voila!

for the dryness try a olive oil treatment and maybe a trim. use a good conditioner and get it back healthy and it should be easier to manage. if it is dull looking use apple cider vinegar to rinse it before you shampoo and then put the olive oil on it.

Try the John Freda collection in whatever hair color you have (brilliant brunette etc.) - it will get rid of the boring, lifelessness of your hair and make it shine. I can really see a difference in my hair whenever I do or don't use it! It really helps me- I hope it helps you!

i have no idea about scrunching hair all i have is schunching spray. i tried 1 time but people made fun of me and said i forgot to fix my hair wene i got up so clearly i am not doong it right.

Don't worry...scrunching is very easy once you learn how! You probably made the mistake of scrunching dry hair. It gets sticky and wet looking. Here are steps to get a great scrunched look.

1. Shower and shampoo.

2. Towel dry your hair until it's 80% dry.

3. Spray the scrunching spray in your hands and rub the product between your palms.

4. Rub all over your hair and distribute it with a wide comb. However, DO NOT GET IT ON YOUR ROOTS!!!!! That is what makes it look greasy.

5. Use your fingers and palm to grab clumps of hair and crumple it up (this is called scrunching). Do this for a few seconds.

6. Now grab your blow dryer (If you have a diffuser attachment, it would be good to use) and continue scrunching as you blast air on the pieces you scrunch.

7. When the hair is dry. Lightly finger comb your hair to get out any tangles or frizz. You're good to go!

well first you would want to wait till your hair is still damp, make sure it's not too wet. once you got damp combed through hair, use the spray and then scrunch your hair, keep spraying and scrunching until your hair is the way you want. after all of that you can do a finally spray all over. i have a really fine hair too, and when i scrunch it, it doesn't last all day and that's just because your hair is too fine. hope this helps :]

I reccomend doing this after your hair is wet.

try parting your hair differenty. Also grow your hair a little bit longer and then get it cut in the part that you want or feel comfortable in. parting your hair makes a big difference in the thickness.

I'm freaking out with all these chemicals that are widely used in hair care products.I found out that silicones are not safe for hair.They cause build up,split ends,dry scalp and thinning of hair,though most -if not every-major brands use them to give hair a silky feeling.I looked at the labels of the products i use and everyone of them had cones in them(dimethicone and cyclomethicone).

I was thinking about using goat's milk soap to wash my hair.Is soap proper for use on hair or will it dry it out and cause thinning and split ends?What products would you suggest me to use?

Oh,and something else,does Johnnson's baby shampoo have silicones in it?

There's something called Wash N Curl. My mom used it and it didn't work for her. Isn't there a hair procedure called body wave? You may want to check that out.

if you have absolutely str8 as a board hair i would braid it and let it sit for like a day or a couple of hours and take the braids out you should have crimpy or wavy hair then. After you can lightly hair spray it and you should be good!=) hope this helped o and by the way you might want someone to help you braid your hair bc its not just one big braid

For some reason the last few days it feels like my hair has thinned out some. I use to have really thinking, long hair and now I have thin, long hair. I thought at first that maybe I was just going crazy or something so I told my mum and she said it felt like it had thinned out as well. I didn't go anywhere to do this like a salon or anything and I'm only 16 so I doubt its from old age. Why is it doing this and how can I get it back to how it was before?

Do you straighten it or blow dry it a lot? The heat makes your hair thin and so does dyeing it. Also if you have split ends, they seem to thin your hair out too. Try buying some good products for thin hair.

Is your hair breaking out because it is damaged or falling out by the roots. If it is just breaking out then reverse what you have been doing to it to damage it. Flat irons, curling irons, blow dryers etc. are all bad for the hair in excess use. If it is falling out by the roots I would go to a doctor there are things he can give you for it. Good luck.
