i have no idea about scrunching hair all i have is schunching spray. i tried 1 time but people made fun of me and said i forgot to fix my hair wene i got up so clearly i am not doong it right.

please give in steps!!!

PS i have VERY THIN hair it is really dark blond and gose to 1inch below my showlders. no i do not have bangs!

thanks to all that replly

Scrunching Hair??

Don't worry...scrunching is very easy once you learn how! You probably made the mistake of scrunching dry hair. It gets sticky and wet looking. Here are steps to get a great scrunched look.

1. Shower and shampoo.

2. Towel dry your hair until it's 80% dry.

3. Spray the scrunching spray in your hands and rub the product between your palms.

4. Rub all over your hair and distribute it with a wide comb. However, DO NOT GET IT ON YOUR ROOTS!!!!! That is what makes it look greasy.

5. Use your fingers and palm to grab clumps of hair and crumple it up (this is called scrunching). Do this for a few seconds.

6. Now grab your blow dryer (If you have a diffuser attachment, it would be good to use) and continue scrunching as you blast air on the pieces you scrunch.

7. When the hair is dry. Lightly finger comb your hair to get out any tangles or frizz. You're good to go!

Hope this helped!

Scrunching Hair??

well first you would want to wait till your hair is still damp, make sure it's not too wet. once you got damp combed through hair, use the spray and then scrunch your hair, keep spraying and scrunching until your hair is the way you want. after all of that you can do a finally spray all over. i have a really fine hair too, and when i scrunch it, it doesn't last all day and that's just because your hair is too fine. hope this helps :]

Scrunching Hair??

ok,

1.take a shower

2.towel your hair

3.then use assuie hair gel(that's what i use and it works amazing)

4.then finger your hair, then space it out, then spray hairspary then let it dry, should look amazing!!

How do you get fuller and thicker bangs, with more hair?

im a boy with very thin hair and not a lot of hair there in the bangs...i really want thick full and "more haired" bangs like this:

http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=68m2sg2

should i use rograin, some type of shampoo, or something, to grow more hair or is it not fixable?

thanks for looking!

this is my hair now (i know its to short but ignore that, just the bangs please!): http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=63s26jb

How do you get fuller and thicker bangs, with more hair?

all you do is comb more of your hair over like take it from the top of your head and comb it down.

I reccomend doing this after your hair is wet.

How do you get fuller and thicker bangs, with more hair?

try parting your hair differenty. Also grow your hair a little bit longer and then get it cut in the part that you want or feel comfortable in. parting your hair makes a big difference in the thickness.

How do you get fuller and thicker bangs, with more hair?

use pantene full %26amp; thick

Are soap bars safe for hair???

I'm freaking out with all these chemicals that are widely used in hair care products.I found out that silicones are not safe for hair. They cause build up,split ends, dry scalp and thinning of hair, though most -if not every-major brands use them to give hair a silky feeling.I looked at the labels of the products i use and everyone of them had cones in them(dimethicone and cyclomethicone).

I was thinking about using goat's milk soap to wash my hair.Is soap proper for use on hair or will it dry it out and cause thinning and split ends? What products would you suggest me to use?

Oh,and something else, does Johnnson's baby shampoo have silicones in it?

Are soap bars safe for hair???

Don't use bar soap for your hair. Use SHAMPOO, it's not dangerous ..

If you're that worried about your hair, use a shampoo with vitamins in it.

http://tinyurl.com/2dro8d

Are soap bars safe for hair???

bar soap -no. baby shampoo -no. if you are worried about chemicals go to an health food store which will sell wonderful hair care products -all natural. if you use soap and baby shampoo you hair will be dry and brittle and break. your scalp will also suffer

Are soap bars safe for hair???

When i run out of shampoo i use soap. My hair is fine, so its not dangerous.

Are soap bars safe for hair???

i tried using milk soap that i use on my skin when i ran out of shampoo..it didn't do any harm on my hair..

Are soap bars safe for hair???

ohhh god your going loose all your hari before you know from freaking out DONT use bar soap that's made for teh body so it has differnt need USE!! shampooo SHAMPOO NOT SOAP

the chepa shampoo's like garneir and pantene has teh bad stuff in it i use real salon products like redken,

I have very straight hair, and would like to try wavy hair, is there a shampoo or anything to help d

I try curling it, but it instantly uncurls, and hairspray and hairgel gets crusty and hard, oh, and is there a cure for thin hair?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I have very straight hair, and would like to try wavy hair, is there a shampoo or anything to help do that??

well there's this thing but I forgot hows its called it like a perm but to curl your hair but its not permanent though...

I have very straight hair, and would like to try wavy hair, is there a shampoo or anything to help do that??

There's something called Wash N Curl. My mom used it and it didn't work for her. Isn't there a hair procedure called body wave? You may want to check that out.

I have very straight hair, and would like to try wavy hair, is there a shampoo or anything to help do that??

garnier fructis has a line called curl and shine. its works really well.and smells great.

I have very straight hair, and would like to try wavy hair, is there a shampoo or anything to help do that??

if you have absolutely str8 as a board hair i would braid it and let it sit for like a day or a couple of hours and take the braids out you should have crimpy or wavy hair then. After you can lightly hair spray it and you should be good!=) hope this helped o and by the way you might want someone to help you braid your hair bc its not just one big braid

Thining hair?

For some reason the last few days it feels like my hair has thinned out some. I use to have really thinking, long hair and now I have thin, long hair. I thought at first that maybe I was just going crazy or something so I told my mum and she said it felt like it had thinned out as well. I didn't go anywhere to do this like a salon or anything and I'm only 16 so I doubt its from old age. Why is it doing this and how can I get it back to how it was before?

Thining hair?

try Rogaine 4 Women

Thining hair?

I would think that it has something to do with the shampoo and conditioner that you are using. Maybe you are putting too much conditioner?

Hope I helped!

Thining hair?

wash your hair in conditioner and shampoo

Thining hair?

Do you straighten it or blow dry it a lot? The heat makes your hair thin and so does dyeing it. Also if you have split ends, they seem to thin your hair out too. Try buying some good products for thin hair.

Thining hair?

did u switch shampoos, use something different in ur hair? use a special formula to get it back to the way it was be4. i hope this helps GOOD LUCK!!

Thining hair?

u should take care of your hair lot more

tell me how u lookafter it ill tell u what to do

mine became real thin i started caring for it more it and its improving

Thining hair?

when i was littel my hair was doing that it just was faling out. and the doctor told me that it was b/c i wasnt getting enough of somthing (like protein, calcium or somthing else) i for get what it was but, just go to ur doctor and see what it is

Thining hair?

Is your hair breaking out because it is damaged or falling out by the roots. If it is just breaking out then reverse what you have been doing to it to damage it. Flat irons, curling irons, blow dryers etc. are all bad for the hair in excess use. If it is falling out by the roots I would go to a doctor there are things he can give you for it. Good luck.

Do women like men having thin hair or no hair ?

if they dont like ,then what is their fate?

Do women like men having thin hair or no hair ?

Depends on the lady. One can never account for tastes. In any case what has fate got to do

in this matter?

Do women like men having thin hair or no hair ?

i suppose it depends on the woman. personally, i don't mind thinning hair/no hair but the man has to be confident about it. if he's uncomfortable then i'll be uncomfortable. but if he doesn't mind it/doesn't notice it, then neither will i.

Do women like men having thin hair or no hair ?

not really, most dont but some think its ok'

Do women like men having thin hair or no hair ?

i think we like men with hair..

but thin hair or no hair.. hmm..

well, if i've always know someone with thin hair, i suppose i'd like them with thin hair

if i've always know them with no hair, then i wudn't ask them to change for the world..

it doesn't really matter to me, thin hair or no hair, juz as long as they're happy with themselves... i guess..

Do women like men having thin hair or no hair ?

My husband unfortunately was not blessed with a lot of hair, in fact it's in his genes as his side of the family esp the guys have thin hair..... I myself, prefer thick ,wavy hair on a guy but because I do love my husband, I got over it ...His hair is not the reason I fall in love with him...Anyway, now he shaved it bald and he does look kinda sexy...hehehe....

Do women like men having thin hair or no hair ?

Ever heard a woman say "I think he's unattractive because he has hair"

Do women like men having thin hair or no hair ?

my sis and i were talking about that the other day....we noted that guys with thinning or balding heads should at least have eyebrows and some facial hair. it just seems to balance out the facial features and is more attractive that way. good luck

Do women like men having thin hair or no hair ?

If a mans hair is thining then i suggest a number 2 all over - nothing sexier that real short hair and a little stubble! lol! Its not really a problem confidenc is the most sexy thing in a man so as long as your confident about how you look you shouldnt have any problems. Good luck hunni and am sure ur hairs fab however!

Do women like men having thin hair or no hair ?

Have faith in yourself, maners are more important than hair.

Do women like men having thin hair or no hair ?

It's not the hair that attracts me or concerns me, it's the man himself. If I find him interesting and stimulating, that's the main thing.

Do women like men having thin hair or no hair ?

I think it depends on the man. Take for example Vin Diesel oooh la la he looks great bald but if you took John Schnieder he wouldn't look good with out hair. Telly Savalas and Louis Gossett Jr. Both looked okay without hair oh and my favorite was Yule Brenner. I think some men that actually shave their heads are sexy especially if they have a goatee. MMMMM now my honey's is receeding and I think he looks good he has a bald spot on the back of his head sooo cute. He's going to be one of those whose hair goes around by the ears and the back but bald on top LOL. Like someone else said I didn't fall in love with his hair oh wait wasn't that a country song LOL

Im gettin my hair thinned?

will it make it straiter? or easy to work with? and will it effect the length of time it stays straightened

Im gettin my hair thinned?

hmmm.. u can use hena.. n can go parlor n can do strainghtnening.. it do cost a bit higher but no damage...

Im gettin my hair thinned?

It'll make it a little straighter, definitely. Hard to say because I've never seen your hair. But when I get my hair thinned, it's wayyyy easier to control and straight (I have super thick wavy hair).

Im gettin my hair thinned?

all of those things

Im gettin my hair thinned?

get the help of beauty parlour experts

Im gettin my hair thinned?

I almost make it straighter, if your hair is not too curly.

it will not make it easier.

i dont think so.

Im gettin my hair thinned?

Take care of your food, drink plenty of water, keep your colon clean, if any other ailments are in your body consult a good doctor. Thinning may be for many reasons. Check up for your problem in the following site.

Whats a good emo/scene hair style when i have thin hair?

short and dark, im getting mine done short and dark tomorow, it totally works.:)

Whats a good emo/scene hair style when i have thin hair?

Short and spikey. Even if you're a girl, short and spikey will work best. Also color and any extra things are helpful.

Trouble with my hair?

I have naturally thin hair. It's wavy/curly naturally, but I straighten it every day or so. I get it perfectly straight, but within a few hours or even minutes it starts to curl at the ends and wave itself, and by the middle of the day it's extremely wavy. Is there anyway to keep it perfectly straight without killing my hair?

Trouble with my hair?

I used to have the same problem. I found this product made by TIGI. You have to buy it in a salon but it is worth the cost (about $13). It is very gooey and only takes a little bit. But before I dry my hair I apply just a small amount to all of my hair, comb through, blow dry and then use my flat iron to straighten it. You can even use another tiny bit after straightening to give it some shine. It is awesome. I live in the deep south where it is very humid and it works great.

Trouble with my hair?

You've put this in the wrong section!! I thought you was going to say something like trouble when you cook your hair always gets into your food lol

Trouble with my hair?

try using jonathan products.

Trouble with my hair?

same thing with Lisa lol

Trouble with my hair?

Use some frizz control or a straightner thats ceramic and will not make your hair like that

Trouble with my hair?

Instead of fighting the curl, work with it. After you shampoo apply a leave in conditioner and comb as usual. Flip head upside down and finger-comb a curl activator serum into your hair and scrunch with your fingers or a towel. Finish with some hairspray and a few more scrunches. Go natural, it will save you time and frustration. Your hair will thank you.

Hairpieces or weaves. Hairpieces are made from human or synthetic hair that is implanted into a nylon netting. Hairpieces may be attached to the scalp with glue, metal clips, or tape. Hair weaving involves sewing or braiding pieces of long hair into existing hair.

Hair care products and styling techniques. Hair care products or perms may make hair appear thicker. Dyes may be used to color the scalp.

Behavior modification, if hair loss is caused by compulsive pulling of your hair (trichotillomania).

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warns consumers that other than FDA-approved minoxidil (Rogaine), there are no over-the-counter creams, lotions, or other products that can induce new hair to grow or cause hair to become thicker. Also, shampoos that claim to promote hair growth by unclogging follicles have not been proven to work. However, there are some products that may make hair appear thicker and others that may cover bald spots.

Limited research on the dietary supplements saw palmetto and beta-sitosterol shows they may help men with inherited hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) regrow hair.

Here are your best bets for eating well. These 10 health foods are some of the healthiest because they meet at least three of the following criteria:

Are a good or excellent source of fiber, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients

Are high in phytonutrients and antioxidant compounds, such as vitamins A and E and beta carotene

May help reduce the risk of heart disease and other health conditions

Are low in calorie density, meaning you get a larger portion size with a fewer number of calories

Are readily available

Click on the tabs to the left to find out more about these foods and what makes them good choices.

Apples

Why eat apples? Apples are an excellent source of pectin, a soluble fiber that can lower blood cholesterol and glucose levels. Fresh apples are also good sources of the vitamin C 閳?an antioxidant that protects your body's cells from damage. Vitamin C also helps form the connective tissue collagen, keeps your capillaries and blood vessels healthy, and aids in the absorption of iron and folate.

Almonds

Why eat almonds? These tear-shaped nuts are packed with nutrients 閳?fiber, riboflavin, magnesium, iron and calcium. In fact, almonds have more calcium than any other nut 閳?70 milligrams (mg) in 23 almonds. And one serving of almonds provides half of your body's Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) of vitamin E.

Like all nuts, almonds provide one of the best plant sources of protein. And they're good for your heart. Most of the fat in almonds is monounsaturated fat 閳?a healthier type of fat that may help lower blood cholesterol levels.

Blueberries

Why eat blueberries? Blueberries are a rich source of plant compounds (phytonutrients). As with cranberries, phytonutrients in blueberries may help prevent urinary tract infections. Blueberries may also improve short-term memory and promote healthy aging.

Blueberries are also a low-calorie source of fiber and vitamin C 閳?1 cup of fresh blueberries has 83 calories, 3.5 grams of fiber and 14 mg of vitamin C.

Broccoli

Why eat broccoli? Besides being a good source of calcium, potassium, folate and fiber, broccoli contains phytonutrients 閳?a group of compounds that may help prevent chronic diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes and some cancers. Broccoli is also a good source of vitamins A and C 閳?antioxidants that protect your body's cells from damage.

Red beans

Why eat red beans? Red beans 閳?including small red beans and dark red kidney beans 閳?are good sources of iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper and thiamin. They're also an excellent low-fat, low-calorie source of protein and dietary fiber. Red beans also contain phytonutrients that may help prevent chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and cancer.

Salmon

Why eat salmon? Salmon is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids 閳?a type of fat that makes your blood less likely to form clots that may cause heart attacks. Omega-3s may also protect against irregular heartbeats that may cause sudden cardiac death, decrease triglyceride levels, decrease the growth of artery-clogging plaques, lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of stroke.

In addition to being an excellent source of omega-3s, salmon is low in saturated fat and cholesterol and is a good source of protein.

Spinach

Why eat spinach? Spinach is high in vitamins A and C and folate. It's also a good source of riboflavin, vitamin B-6, calcium, iron and magnesium. The plant compounds in spinach may boost your immune system and may help keep your hair and skin healthy.

Sweet potatoes

Why eat sweet potatoes? The deep orange-yellow color of sweet potatoes tells you that they're high in the antioxidant beta carotene. Food sources of beta carotene, which are converted to vitamin A in your body, may help slow the aging process and reduce the risk of some cancers. Sweet potatoes are also good sources of fiber, vitamins B-6, C and E, folate and potassium. And like all vegetables, they're fat-free and relatively low in calories 閳?one small sweet potato has just 54 calories.

Vegetable juice

Why drink vegetable juice? Vegetable juice has most of the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients found in the original vegetables and is an easy way to include vegetables in your diet. Tomato juice and vegetable juices, which include tomatoes, are good sources of lycopene, an antioxidant which may reduce the risk of heart attack, prostate cancer and possibly other types of cancer. Some vegetable and tomato juices are very high in sodium, so be sure to select the low-sodium varieties.

Wheat germ

Why eat wheat germ? At the center of a grain of wheat is the wheat germ 閳?the part of the seed that's responsible for the development and growth of the new plant sprout. Though only a small part of the wheat seed, the germ is a highly concentrated source of nutrients, including niacin, thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin E, folate, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, iron and zinc. The germ also contains protein, fiber and some fat.

Take a trip to you hairdressers and ask their advise as to what is the right treatment for your hair.

It may be a scalp condition or it may be due to a weakening of the growing hair in the follicles, as the actual hair itself is dead.

But what ever it is that is causing the thinning you need to get professional advise, for our hair is usually one of our best assets

It is what we think is so precious that we choose to cover it out of respect to Allah swt and in our modesty.

So take care of the gift you have been given and get the right advice.

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

my hair is so frizzy at the ends!!! it's like way past split ends!im a swimmer so does mthat have any thing to do with it?its so hard to brush thru!!!any ideas how to fix that?

and

i've been wearing a part in the same spot of my hair 4 a long time. now it won't go back! y is that and how can i fix it?

and

for the past 2 years i have been wearing my hair in a pony tail, i dont want to as much for this school year. but i hate it alldown! i have very fine and thin hair, and im growing my bangs out any ideas what i can do? send websites with picures on em i u want!

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

Your hair is frizzy and tangly and split because you arent taking good care of it. Unfortunately, the only way to get rid of split ends is to cut them off.. so part with what you can right away, and then cut 1/2 inch a month off until it looks healthy again.

In the mean time:

Buy a clarifying shampoo to keep the chlorine from building up. The first time, put it in and leave it for 10 min.. and rinse.. then use it every time you go swimming.

Buy a good moisturizing conditioner and use it every time you use the clarifying shampoo to add moisture back into your hair.

Buy a good shampoo made for fine thin hair. This will help you maintain your hair.

Buy a good spray on leave in conditioner. They are very light and will keep your hair moisturized. They are also nice because you can spray them into your dry hair to make it easier to comb. Rinse out conditioners are generally too heavy for fine hair.

Are you trying to brush your hair out when it's wet? This is a very bad idea, it will cause it to break even more, as will pulling it up when it is wet. When its wet comb it with a very wide tooth comb after spraying in the conditioner. Wait till its dry to brush.

To fix your part problem, part your hair in a different spot, bobby pin it down, hairspray it, and keep it that way all night while you sleep. Keep moving the part.. this will keep it from wanting to part so strongly in one spot over time.

Have your hairstylist blend in your bangs with very light face framing in the front. Also, fine hair looks better shorter (shoulder length or above). the shorter it is the thicker it looks.

Buy professional products. Store products run the risk of leaving a waxy build up or stripping your hair.. both will worsten your problem over time

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

Try neutrogena triple moisture. It repairs damaged hair.

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

Hello. I bought maxi glide by maxius(straightening) I also bought beyond straight for humidity and I buy Biosilk(silk therapy)smells great and is great for frizz. Trust me it will work and you'll be so happy.

http://www.maxiusbeauty.com/cart.php.......

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

you have dammaged your hair it seems by chlorine and water all the time, get your hair cut. its hard to change a part, you need to have your hair styled in some way that suits your face and activity level. the hair dresser will have lots of pictures and suggestions. its best to use a professional when your hair is this dammaged, they will also give you clues of what to do to help keep from having so much dammage.

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

you probably have frizzy/split-endish hair because of all the chlorine in the pool. that's a real hair killer haha.

as for the wearing part, i always wear my hair up and i have a crease in the center hahaa. which is unfortunate but use a straightner (which i don't recommend because your hair already seems damaged) or let dry down.

maybe you can layer your hair a little more so it has more dimension? i don't know

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

U need 2 trim ur hair it's damaged..go 2 the hair dressers and get it cut and treated..u should b trimming ur hair ever 6-8 weeks..and u shouldn't have ur hair the same way..u have 2 change it up..u're forehead will start at the back of ur neck by the time ur 60-- so..ya OH YA wear a cap or something when u go into the water...and if u don't..u have 2 wash ur hair immediatley after -

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

for frizz try garnier and for the part when your hair is wet blow dry the part where you want it

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

Try getting a hair cut, but just trim it if it is only frizzy on the end.

My sister is a swimmer, and she doesn't have that type of problem. So I don't think it is the chlorine...

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

Go to a beautician she would be able to help you how ever u should use oil for ur hairs

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

Chlorine is VERY hard on your hair. You need to take care of it! Here's a link that should help you...

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

Try Biosilk Silk Therapy you can get it at most hair dressers. as for the part. its going to take some training for your hair to learn to go a different way just keep doing it over and over, it should get the hint after a while.

Swimmer eh? My best advice for keeping your hair away from chlorine is that swimmers hat. As for the frizzy ends, condition and straighten em! That way you can have shiny, straight hair for school this year. It'll be much easier to brush your hair too if it's straight.

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

hey if u go to the store and use this p it will helpwash your hair with it okay its called miracle its in a box okay its a brown box but any way its called miracle okay it will help while u if u comb it out while your washing your hair

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

Hey-dont freak-first of all cut it way short-not "Boy" short but shorter take like 3 inches off-and dont worry it will grow back b4 school!A stylish new hairdo can do wonders for one's self-esteem. Conversely, a poorly shorn or styled head can make even confident, self-assured people feel sheepish. While it might take Sigmund Freud to explain the reasons for this, these remedies may restore your lovely locks--and perhaps your self-esteem. Bad haircut

Steps:

1. Do not attempt to fix it yourself.

2. Return to the salon or barbershop and demand a new haircut by a different stylist or barber free of charge.

3. Or go to a reputable salon, explain your dilemma and request a remedial haircut.

4. Or consider using a wig, hair extensions or hair additions while you wait for the haircut to grow out.

Bad hair day

Steps:

1. Wet down hair with warm water, add styling mousse or gel, then restyle.

2. If restyling is not an option, cover hair with a hat or scarf.

3. Opt for the slicked-back look if a hat or scarf is unsuitable. Wet hair, add gel or mousse, pull hair into a ponytail. Allow to air-dry.

Bad dye job

Steps:

1. If hair is undercolored because you panicked and rinsed too early, reapply dye and leave on for time required minus time you already had it on.

2. If you chose the wrong color or overcolored your hair, consider using a color-removal product, available at salons and beauty supply stores.

3. Understand that hair-coloring professionals recommend visiting a reputable salon that specializes in hair coloring to correct bad dye jobs.

Botched perm

Steps:

1. If your home perm did not take, wait three days before you visit a salon to have a professional stylist perm your hair.

2. If the perm is overdone, apply a deep conditioner to hair from scalp to the ends. Leave it on for 15 minutes. Rinse and set hair in large curlers. If that doesn't fix it, have a professional stylist relax your overpermed hair.

Chlorine-green hair

Steps:

1. Use a hair product designed to remove green from hair, available at salons, beauty supply stores and drugstores.

2. For swimming, apply leave-in conditioner to hair and wear a swim cap to prevent further greening.

3. Shampoo and rinse hair immediately after swimming.

4. Monitor and reduce copper levels in pool water, which cause greening.

5. If hair is dyed or permed and turns green, visit a reputable salon to have it corrected.

Dandruff

Steps:

1. Wash hair with an over-the-counter shampoo designed to fight dandruff. Switch brands if shampoo becomes ineffective after several weeks of use.

2. Consult a dermatologist in extreme cases.

Gum in hair

Steps:

1. Rub peanut butter into hair and around gum and slowly work gum out of hair. Oil counters gum's stickiness. Shampoo thoroughly afterward. Mayonnaise and butter also work, but not as well as peanut butter.

Hair loss

Steps:

1. Understand that there is little one can do to prevent hair loss if it's hereditary.

2. Use hair products for sensitive hair to avoid unnecessary wear and tear.

3. Visit a dermatologist to learn about cosmetic options, including toupees, weaves and transplants.

4. Remember that stress, lack of protein, medication, hormones, pregnancy, disease and poor hair hygiene contribute to hair loss.

5. Be wary of products claiming to stop hair loss; results vary widely.

6. Sudden, smooth, round bald spots on scalp or beard are called alopecia areata. Wait for them to disappear (usually 6 to 12 months) or visit a dermatologist for treatment.

Head lice

Steps:

1. Cover your work area with towels to prevent contamination of upholstery or carpets.

2. Working under bright light, partition hair into sections and comb through hair with a fine-tooth comb (ideally a lice comb, available at drugstores). Remove lice (reddish-brown) and nits (white or clear) as you comb. Use mayonnaise to smother lice and nits while you comb. Repeat combings for two weeks.

3. Boil the comb after you use it to sanitize it for future use.

4. Wash towels, sheets, pillowcases, hats and other contaminated clothing in the washer with hot water. Use a hot setting to dry the items in the dryer. Vacuum contaminated fabric, upholstery or carpeting.

5. Use an anti-lice shampoo if you prefer, but remember that these products contain pesticides. Consult your doctor before using anti-lice products if you are pregnant, allergic or have pre-existing medical conditions. Avoid treatments containing lindane, which has caused neurological damage in children.

No blonde and chlorine by eHow Friend

My hair is blonde, and I got a perm done at my house. When I went in the pool too often, the chlorine turned it green. I had to go to the salon and have it bleached and colored again. It cost almost $125. So, never do this.

Experience hair dresser by eHow Friend

I had long, beautiful, red hair with split ends. So when I went to get my hair cut, I decided I was bored with the long hair so I decided I wanted chunky layers. Well I decided to go to a regular hair cut joint, not my usual trusted salon; big mistake.

There was a new hair dresser there and I tried to explain what I wanted the layers to look like (long and lovely). She said, "Oh, I understand." She didn't.

She took the scissors and literally gave me a bowl cut all the way around. When I looked I was secretly crying inside thinking "What did she do?!" I didn't say anything until I got home and started cursing, looking in the mirror, at my awful hack job.

Now, it's been slightly fixed by my regular salon, who noticed the awful and unevenness.

So, my tip is: don't settle for a cheap hair dresser at last minute, find an experienced one who knows what he/she is doing. And make sure you explain the style you want through pictures and description. Be clear and precise with your explanation of style! Best of luck with your hair.

Split Ends: Ways To Take Back Control of Your Hair

All the conditioner in the world won't get rid of split ends. So what will help?

When the ends of your hair begin to look like hundreds of miniature tuning forks-each strand split in two-chances are it has been damaged by exposure to the sun, the cold, dry temperatures, hair coloring, chemical relaxers, or permanent waves.

If you have split ends, your first inclination may be to pile on the conditioner. But that's a waste of time.

All the conditioner in the world won't get rid of split ends, says Amy Everett, stylist at the Joseph Michael Salon in Chicago. The best-and only-solution is to get your hair trimmed.

Hair is a lot like a shrub, says hairstylist David Ramon, co-owner of David Gavin Salons in New York City. If you don't keep cutting it, it splits, and the essential proteins and acids leach out. Cutting it regularly seals the hair shaft, and the hair grows thicker.

The moral of the story: Get your hair trimmed 1/2 to 1 inch every 6 weeks, whether it looks like it needs it or not, says Ramon.

If you hair tends to split easily, try these end-saving strategies.

Don't roughly towel-dry your hair after swimming or shampooing. Friction can cause ends to split. Instead, wrap a towel around your head and leave it there for a few minutes to absorb the moisture.

Wait till your hair is mostly dry before you brush or curl it. Hair is most susceptible to damage when it's wet.

Undo your ponytail. If you usually wear your hair tied back or in a ponytail, leave it down a few hours a day to take strain off your hair. And never sleep with any type of hair accessories, like clips or rollers.

Try an egg shampoo. Rub an egg yolk into your hair, let it coagulate, then rinse it out and shampoo. Protein in the yolk helps your hair, which is also a protein, says Ramon.

Revitalize your hair with vitamins. Taking 1,000 micrograms of biotin (a B vitamin) three times a day for at least 4 to 5 months can promote healthy hair growth, says Diana Bihova, M.D., a dermatologist in New York city and author of Beauty from the Inside Out.

Using any amount of hot air will cause your hair to dry out. Dry weather and blow drying will strip the hair of its moisture. Shampooing frequently and swimming in chlorinated pools will lead to dry hair and split ends. Hair dyes, electric curlers and permanents cause hair to dry out and have split ends.

To avoid split ends, follow the following tips and keep your hair glossy:

閳?Use mayonnaise: Use a dollop of mayonnaise on the palm of the hand and massage it to the head and leave it on for five minutes before having the bath. The recommended time for the mayonnaise treatment is an hour.

閳?Spray the beer: If you do not get any respite from using the mayonnaise, you can use beer as a good setting lotion that gives your hair the crisp, healthy and shiny look. You can pour some beer into an empty pump bottle and spray on the hair after shampooing and towel dry. Then you can style or blow-dry the hair.

閳?Shampoo minimally: Though it has become fashionable to shampoo daily, it is not advisable to do so. Shampoo strips the hair of its natural oils and thus gives it a dry, limp appearance. Alternatively, choose a shampoo for dry, damaged hair.

閳?Condition your hair: Dry hair can be benefited greatly by the use of conditioners after shampooing. The outer layers of the hair or cuticles peel away the shaft, resulting in split ends. Conditioner glues these cuticles back to the shaft and lubricates them. It also prevents static electricity, thus preventing its frizzy appearance.

閳?Avoid heat: Heat appliances like blow-dryers, electric irons and curlers damage the hair. Instead of blow-drying the hair, you can pat dry with a towel. Replace electric curlers with unheated plastic rollers that were used in a bygone era. Straighten the hair by wrapping the slightly damp hair around the cold rollers and leave them on for about ten minutes. To curl the hair or to give them a wavy appearance, use sponge rollers overnight or sleep with moist braids.

閳?Cover your head: Wearing a hat during windy days is the safest way to protect the hair from drying out. This way, you will also protect your hair from drying out by the sun.

閳?Cut off the split ends: Every six weeks or so, try cutting off the split ends to keep them under control.

Well, the first recommendation I have is to be sure that you are using the gentlest shampoo possible since you wash your hair more often than normal and to be sure you aren閳ユ獩 washing the hair more often than necessary. Even after swimming in chlorinated pools, you should be able to simply rinse the hair with (non-pool) water and apply conditioner to help restore the pH balance to the hair. Remember, that unless your hair is very oily, or you tend to expose your hair to soils and contaminants on a daily basis, you don閳ユ獩 have to shampoo every day. You should, however, condition the hair daily, and in your case, after swimming. Virtually any of the hair conditioning products in your local market will work, look for products that specify moisturizing ingredients and/or fruit acids and oils. These are great for restoring the hair閳ユ獨 pH balance.

I also recommend that you use a swimming cap if you don閳ユ獩 already. If you do, then try using petroleum jelly in a thin layer along the edges of the cap, to help make a more waterproof seal. You may also want to consider applying conditioner to your hair before putting it up under the cap. This will help protect the hair from the chlorinated water should any get beneath your cap.

Using these tips should help resolve the likely sources of the problem. Now, in order to treat the hair as it currently is: Take the conditioner you selected for your regular use and apply it to damp hair, comb it through the hair and cover the hair with a plastic cap and heat it using hot towels or a hair dryer for 20 minutes. The heat will allow the conditioner to penetrate more deeply into the hair and will help restore the hair to a more healthy-looking state.

The best way to treat the split ends is to have your hair trimmed. Be sure to explain to the stylist that you only want the split ends removed, so as to avoid having your hair cut shorter than necessary. Ask the stylist to show you how much hair he/she feels will have to be removed before any cutting is done. You can use anti-frizz serums to help hold the ends together, but I閳ユ獡 afraid that nothing will truly 閳ユ笧epair閳?the split ends, and you risk having them worsen if you don閳ユ獩 trim them.

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

first, go to the salon and have all the damaged hair cut off... and after that, every time you go to the pool, first saturate your hair with water, then add a hair serum (focusing on the ends) and then put on your swimming cap (if you wear one)... this will help prevent further damage..

when growing out your bangs, a layered and angled look will help blend that in..

http://www.womensbeautylife.com/gallery/...

with this hairstyle you can either add a little gel or hairspray and scrunch it up for a messy look or straighten it...

hope this helps!

Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?

When hair becomes dry or damaged, the hair shaft splits at the end. Here's how you can keep those unsightly splits from spoiling the looks of your locks.

Steps:

1. Keep brushing to a minimum since it promotes breakage. Brushing wet hair is a definite no-no; use a wide-toothed comb when hair is wet.

2. Strive for low-maintenance hair. Hair dryers, curling irons, perms and hair colors all damage hair. If you must blow-dry, use a cool setting and keep the dryer 6 inches (15 cm) from your hair.

3. Protect your hair from extreme weather. Wear a hat on sunny days and keep hair well moisturized in the dry winter months.

4. Apply a leave-in conditioner or pomade to the ends of your hair daily to keep them strong.

5. Snip away any split ends you spot. Cut at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) above the split. A split end will split the hair all the way up to the scalp, so snip it as soon as you spot it.

6. Schedule a trim with your hairstylist if you start seeing a lot of split ends.

Overall Tips:

Ask your stylist to recommend thermal protection products.

Overall Warnings:

Be wary of promises from the makers of products for split ends. These bind the hair shaft temporarily. The only real cure is a haircut.

Prevention of split ends by DENISE K.

Once your hair has grown out of the skin, it is like the free edge of your nails - dead! You can prevent the look of split ends with hair products, but once they are there, the only way to get save your hair is to cut them off. Do not follow the brush when dry, and comb when wet rule.

How do I make fine thin hair look and feel fuller, but not poofed?

Try trimming it at the hairdresser, it normally works. Or you could use a bigger round brush when blowdrying your hair. There are also various types of volumising hair products on the market. You could also bend upside down and blowdry your hair.

Help me find a reason for my friend not to pull out her hair?

My friend is always pulling out her hair -single strands one at a time] [esp. her split ends, by whole strands], and it bugs me sooo much. She also likes to do it becauses it makes her hair thinner. However, it grosses me out %26amp; there must be SOMETHING wrong with it!!!

help me give her solid [hopefully scientific] a reason to stop.

Please.

=]

p.s: don't say she'll get a bald spot or something, cuz she wont. she pulls them out randomly, not from one spot.

Help me find a reason for my friend not to pull out her hair?

Why would she want to thin her hair as so many women and men get envious of someone with healthy thick head of hair. Some even don't mind thick hair with split ends. She could always have her hair thinned out by the salon esp if bottom heavy with thinning shears etc. for whatever reason. Though if you notice when she starts pulling hair out is it e.g. whenever she is stressed, seem like a compulsion, or she gets some mild pleasure out or it. Unfortunately it seems that unless something bad happens or something out there convinces her to stop she may not stop.

I think that you should talk your her about it. There is a disease like that and I cannot remember what it is. Try searching for it in the Internet... you can suggest that she have a haircut instead. If it really bothers you try consulting a doctor or else give her something else to do instead like makeup sessions or doing fun things together.

Help me find a reason for my friend not to pull out her hair?

This is a bad habit----tell her people will think she is crazy or something if she doesn't stop and that is embarresses you. If she cares what you think, she will stop. She could go to a stylist to get her hair thinned or buy some thinning shears at a beauty supply and do it her self.

How to help flat hair?

Does anyone know any volumizers out there that ACTUALLY work? It seems like i have tried every one you can possibly buy, but nothing works for my thin hair, or am i just doomed?

How to help flat hair?

The main thing is to add some volume to your roots. You can try Matrix root lifter. Also other companies make root lifters. Just spray it on and rub it until you get the volume you desire. For all over volume you may use moose. Also, I have heard on the radio that if your hair is too flat, you shouldn't brush the roots everytime you brush your hair because it makes it really flat. Also, if you have very thin hair try using Nioxin products. I highly recommend it for thining hair.

Hope that helps.

Why do you want fat hair?

I have thin hair, how can i boast my hair volume? i'm male by the way?

To boost volume to Thin Hair follow these steps

1.) Remove styling product residue which can weigh down hair and make it flat, you can use a clarifying shampoo or apple cider vinegar as a rinse followed by shampoo.

2.) once you have removed product build up,find a voluming shampoo that does not contain Sodium laurel sulfate such as J/A/S/O/N THINK TO THICK or LAMAS rice protein voluming shampoo and conditioner.only use products that do not contain synthetic ingredients because these will build up on your hair leading to limpness, and even loss of hair.

3.)whenever you blow dry your hair be sure to use a diffuser and flip your hair foreword to dry,you can also increase volume by using large rollers or steam based rollers which will add body and wave.

4.) Be sure you are getting enough protein in your diet, and minerals through things like meat, nuts, and beans, essential fats like flax, fish and olive oil, minerals from green vegetables, spinach and seaweeds.take a balanced multi-vitamin and extra biotin, zinc and silica this will help stimulate hair growth from the inside out.

5.)get regular trims, thin hair can become damaged at the ends very easily keep your hair trimmed regularly so your ends stay protected,do not brush thin hair, especially when wet,use a wide toothed comb instead and be careful thin hair is fragile and will snap easily, don't use elastics or harsh ponytails loose hairstyles or up in a bun are best.

Ugh. I'm right there with ya. I'm black and German.

What I do is I put leave in conditioner in it as much as I can. Since your hair is dry I wouldn't recommend shampooing it everyday cuz shampoo dries out hair.

Try getting some frizz serum when you wanna weat your hair out. I usually wash mine's and put mousse on it when I wanna wear it curly.

Whenever its not curly I straighten it. Get a thin straightening iron because these work better. They stay hot and get hot quick. Then go to a good hair shop (like Sally's) and look around for a heat protectant spray or you could ask for other products up there. And theres never any harm in asking a hair professional at a salon.

If you're concerned about hair, you'll be glad to know that one of the most effective ingredients in Provillus is all-natural. Saw palmetto is a naturally occurring substance that has been used effectively in hair loss prevention and hair regrowth throughout the world. Studies have shown that saw palmetto lowers the levels of DHT (dihydrotestosterone) in your body by blocking receptors on the cell membranes. DHT is the major cause of typical male pattern baldness%26lt;!--and when it is reduced, new hair can grow unimpeded. As the saw palmetto in Provillus blocks DHT, vitamin B6, biotin, zinc, and magnesium work to provide your scalp with the vital nutrients it needs to produce healthy hair. Gota Kola, Eleuthro, Uva-Ursi, pumpkin oil, and other extracts are also used to stimulate hair growth and assist with protein synthesis and energy metabolism. This effective combination has made Provillus extremely successful in stopping hair loss and kickstarting regrowth. In fact, this supplement is rated as the best hair loss treatment pill on the market! And the best part is that they have a toll free number and you can ask them for more information with no extra cost.

There are no creams that you have to rub on your head before you go to sleep, and there are no special hair care products that you have to use. You simply take the supplement orally and let its natural components run their course. At this time, they are offering two--%26gt;free bottles of Provillus when you place an order. If you are not satisfied with the effect it is having on your hair and scalp, you have up to six months to return it for a full refund. they are able to give you this option, because they know you can find success with their product. So many others have used Provillus to restore their hair--isn't it time you tried the most effective hair loss product on the market?

Mixed girlie with crazy hair. (help;;)?

Use this product called Mixed Chicks. They have a shampoo, deep conditioner, and leave in conditioner that will define your curls and make your hair soft. Or use Aveda Shampure shampoo followed by Aveda Cherry almond bark conditioner mixed with a little Aveda deep penetrating revitalizer. After you shampoo, mix the conditioners in your hand and put it in your hair, brush your hair out with a D4 Denman brush (perfect for curly hair) then pull it up in a clip and finish showering, shaving, singing in the shower, whatever. Then turn the cold water on but on low pressure and rinse the conditioner out. Towel dry your hair, then put some John Frieda Frizz Eaze Serum into your wet hair followed by some John Frieda Take Charge Styling mousse. Its sort of like when you put the conditioner and gel in it but it wont be as frizzy, and it wont be sticky because the mousse is very light. And because you put the hair serum in before the mousse it wont be all hardlike some mousse makes your hair. Its quite a routine but it works for me. I too have frizzy, curly, poofy, dry looking hair and I use Aveda because it brings out my curls, its all natural and it smells good. I do both the aveda and the mixed chicks, I kinda alternate every time I wash my hair which is usually twice a week. Good luck.

How do i make my hair thicker with common house hold items, or a shampoo and conditioner?

I have THIN HAIR and everyone like always is talking about it! I cant stand it. I just want thicker hair!

How do i make my hair thicker with common house hold items, or a shampoo and conditioner?

Humm, the only I thing I can think of is cuttin' it short and it will grow back thicker..

How do i make my hair thicker with common house hold items, or a shampoo and conditioner?

try teasing it and take some hairspray to it and then blow dry it on cool, for a better fix try a volumizing products, and when you blow dry it after a shower use a roll brush and either hold up your hair while you blow dry or flip your head upside down

hope it helps a lil

Hair care for black women???

I am trying to stop my hair from breaking off from being so dry and make it grow longer and healthier. Will greasing my scalp do the trick? If so how often should I and what product would be the best for highlighted fine thin hair?

Hair care for black women???

greasing your scalp is never the trick, you should never use grease on your hair or scalp. it clogs the hair follicles and actually stunts hair growth.

i answered a question similar to this a few days ago so im going to copy my answer here:

assuming that you have relaxed hair, shampoo and deep condition with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Air dry, to lock in moisture and prevent breakage, then apply a light scalp oil to your scalp and a moisturizer to your strands. On the days your not washing either spray with a light leave in conditioner every other day or apply a light moisturizer every day. Try not to comb so often also, that aids in the snapping of hair.

you should also wear your hair in protective styles, any style that needs little to no combing or brushing and keeps the ends of your hair off of your clothes.

You don't have to clip your ends every month if its healthy, that will just make your shorter, hair only grows about 1/2 an inch per month, and if you cut it every month then it results in negative hair growth. Your hair will be shoulder length forever. If you keep up with your hair and get it healthy you only have to cut it once every 3 months, sometimes i only cut twice a year, and my hair is just fine.

shampoos:

creme of nature ultra moisturizing

neutrogena triple moisture shampoo(this is supposedly the better of the two)

conditioner

aubrey organics (by far the best!)

olive replenishing pak (mixed with olive oil, sweet almond oil, and tea tree oil)

creme of nature

neutrogena triple moisture

scalp oil:

ginseng wonder 8 oil (this works well for my hair, i don't know about everyone elses though.)

you should also get a fotki.com account, they're free and they have a lot women who are growing their relaxed and natural hair out.

good luck.

Hair care for black women???

i chopped of my hair two years ago and i live by leave in conditioner a rich thick one that does not leave residue!!!! crazy moisture without clogging my pores, or weighting down your hair!!!! i love kms for curls, great even if you relax your hair and they have formulas for thick course hair, and fine hair!!! it even moisturized my cuticles and strenghtened my nails just from when i wash my hair, so now that is how i judge my conditioners, if it helps with my nails and cuticles, it with work on my hair, since your nails and hair are made after the same material!!! i also use garnier either for curls or the sleek and shine leave in conditioner!!!! also lay off the heat!!! had to learn that the hard way!!! by the way i wear my hair natural!!! its curly!!i "wash" my hair twice a week, but i dont shampoo it is horrible for black hair i strips out the moisture and it takes days to replace, so i rinse my hair and massage my scalp with my finger tips to loosen product residue and dirt, and then condition it!!!! but if i want a straight look i use setting lotion and do a wrap, tie it up over night and gently comb it out in the morning!! this is how i care for my hair and it is now shoulder length after two years and grows about an inch every two months!!! also take a multi-vitamin and or biotin it is a type of vitamin b and is great for hair strength and growth!!! and finally for a nice shine you can mix a shine serum in with the leave in conditioner when you apply it to your hair!!!! i know this will help

11 i have nearly no breakage, and my hair is long and healthy and moves, ALOT!!!

Hair care for black women???

I also have thin hair and had the same problem you have, and my problem was putting the chemicals from the dye. If you can stop highlighting your hair b/c those chemicals will damage your hair. I know it is cute to highlights but they can also cause you to become bald. Now I did learn that before you put any chemical on your hair even a perm put some conditioner on first, and I do that before I do my perm (Olive Oil Perm) and my hair is beautiful, very soft. I use that with Biosilk which is great because you can use a little bit ON THE HAIR and not the scalp and it will moisturize your hair. You can use it everyday and it will not make your hair greasy. Our scalp produces it own oils so we just have to help mosturize the hair a Iittle to go along with the oils our own scalp naturally produces. I have my hair down past my shoulders now. I also alternate using Biosilk products with Aveda Brilliant shampoo and conditioner. Oh yea when you wash and condition your hair never use a big glob of it you only need about a quarter size drop to wash your hair, and about 2 quarter size for conditioner. People don't realize that they use too much of a product and it takes the volume and shine out of their hair by not washing all the products out properly or they use to much product and strip the natural oils from their hair. Stay away from drying your hair wrap it wet or minimize your drying time. It doesn't take much to have healthy beautiful hair.

Hair care for black women???

Start by messaging your scalp with a hair dressing that contains natural herbs, vitamins, and minerals. I usually use Doo Gro Growth Lotion. I do this at least two to three times a week. www.doogro.com

By messaging your scalp will help promote hair growth.

Also limit your use of heated hair appliances. they cause the hair to become dry, brittle, and eventually break off. Start wrapping up your hair at night. Wear a silk or satin scarf. Those materials does not absorb the natural oils from our hair.

Is it true that wearing hair up a lot can thin it out?

I've heard this a lot, but I wear my hair up frequently, and it doesn't seem to have thinned it out. HOWEVER, a stylist recently commented about me having fine hair, and I always thought my hair was between thick and fine. My hair is a little less coarse in texture than it was in my teens and early 20s when I didn't wear it up as much, but hair does thin a little with age, so I figure it's just aging. Is it true that wearing hair up can contribute to this?

Is it true that wearing hair up a lot can thin it out?

I have heard that this is true, and I believe it myself.

I wouldn't worry too much about wearing your hair up during the day, but you shouldn't wear it up when you go to sleep.

Is it true that wearing hair up a lot can thin it out?

huh...never heard about that one. well the best you could do is search through out websites about that topic or maybe see some kind of doctor about that. So if you do that you will get more of a honest truth.

Is it true that wearing hair up a lot can thin it out?

No

Is it true that wearing hair up a lot can thin it out?

that is not true hun i had my hair up everyday in school for about 6/7 years and my hair didnt go thin at all

Is it true that wearing hair up a lot can thin it out?

I've never heard about that but i have heard that if you wear a hair tie to tight that it breaks the hair strands, usually when that happens a lot of hair comes out when you brush it or whe you take a shower. it could make your hair thinner or appear thinner

Is it true that wearing hair up a lot can thin it out?

there is no medical fact to prove that.

Is it true that wearing hair up a lot can thin it out?

it is not an issue of the hair getting thinner it is more of an issue of breakage of the hair for some people. If you were rubber bands or things that are tight around the hair it will weaken the hair shaft and cause the hair to break ususally around the crown of the head or wear a ponytail holder would go hence the illusion of hair becoming thinner, also keep in mind people who wear their hair up frequently do not have their hair exposed to the elements like other people wind sun pollutants all these factor in to the feeling of the hair once damaged by sun or wind the hair feels thick and course if left up and not exposed it is much smoother and less frayed hence once again the illusion of being thinner hope this helps

I'm getting thin white facial hair.?

I am 32 yo female and my husband noticed that I am getting facial hair. It is thin and white (or blonde), and it is basically over my entire face, but mainly chin, upper lip and jaw line. What is the deal? Ok, I did take a couple of weeks of Mass Tabs, which is like a synthetic steroid. Could this be the cause? I also have problems with hormonal acne. Could the hair be a hormonal problem too?

I'm getting thin white facial hair.?

Whatever you do, do not shave!!! The hair will grow back at an angle making it more noticeable. A lot of people (women too) have a thin white layer of hair there, you just can't notice it.

If it bothers you that much you can get it waxed off but shaving will bring you more problems.

I'm getting thin white facial hair.?

of course it is a hormonbal problem, speeded up by the mass dosage of steriod drugs taken, try stopping the drugs, and maybe shave, everything will normalise

I'm getting thin white facial hair.?

usually women get white hair, when they are underweight.

try stopping the steroids, or at least taking less and hopefully it will slowly disappear.

dont shave or wax it off, it will make it worst.

I'm getting thin white facial hair.?

Peach fuzz, everyone has it. I wouldn't worry about it, unless it gets thicker and more noticeable. I have very pale white hair along my jawline, it is completely normal. Shaving and waxing will both just make it more noticable.

I'm getting thin white facial hair.?

Are you underweight or suffering from an eating disorder? If not, it's probably hormonal. Don't take anything hormonal that isn't prescribed by a doctor. It may fall out on it's own or you can wax it, but don't shave it!

I have had super thick hair for most of my life but my hairline is still receding?

I am 21, and most of my life i had really really thick hair. well, its come to my attention that my hairline is receding pretty much in the temporal areas, despite this. yet my roomate has really thin hair (so much so that you can practically see his scalp all around) yet he is able to keep his full hairline. Why??

I have had super thick hair for most of my life but my hairline is still receding?

having thick/thin hair and loosing hair is totally different thing .

its like you have thin wavy hair, or thick straight hair, blond, dark etc...still, you can have receding hair line.

Layered hair for a person with natural wavy thick hair?

get your hair thinned out before you get layers....

Layered hair for a person with natural wavy thick hair?

Layered hair will bring out the curls/waves in your hair. Ask for long layers. No, it won't make it thinner. It should give your more body, but definitely ask your stylist.

Layered hair for a person with natural wavy thick hair?

it doesnt workon my hair because i have really thick curls, so it makes them REALLLy poofy. i went to a hair salon specilizing in curls and they said def. no layers. it wont make ur hair thinner, you have to have that done seperatly

Hair Care Question?

I'm an east indian male, 29 yrs old. I have thin wavy hair. I wash my hair 3 times a week. My problem is that I would like to grow my hair long but after a day my hair get very oily giving me that slick back look with curls which is so uncool.

How could I make my hair look fuller and more bouncy to maintain that long hairstyle like those moviestars?

Hair Care Question?

Well, for starters , you are shampooing your hair a little to much, believe it or not your hair works better for you when its damage , Iam in hair school and we just went over that a week ago! You should only shampoo your hair maybe every 3days. After every wash you should condition it. ( that very important because it locks down the molecules after washing)

and use professional product you can go to any beauty supple store and get good shampoo and conditioner. along with so good product for oily hair. To help it grow get a trim every 4-6 weeks and that should defiantly help i hope every thing goes well with you.

Does anyone know any good hair products that create volume?

I got my hair thinned out a few years ago because it was always so thick. Big mistake! Now it's so thin and I just want it to look full but I haven't been able to find any products that make it look fuller for a long time. Sure, they might help for 30 minutes or so, but then it goes right back to being flat! Help! Thanks :)

Does anyone know any good hair products that create volume?

Bedhead is just about the best hair collection if you want extreme volume. They have an entire collection dedicated to making your hair huge, (trust me, my hair was as flat as a board before using it).

And the good thing is you can get it at your local drugstore. It's amazing! (And the bottles are funky colored and cool looking too haha in case you're one of those people who care about that. I know I am!)

Does anyone know any good hair products that create volume?

try tunucia by rene furturer. Sold in select salons.

Does anyone know any good hair products that create volume?

Yes I do. TIGI BEDHEAD Superstar Queen for a Day Thickening Spray.

Does anyone know any good hair products that create volume?

try scrunching it with a volumizing mousse

Does anyone know any good hair products that create volume?

pantene pro-v has great products for that.

I was asking my hair dresser for tips on how to make my hair look thicker and more volumous too and she told me to dry my hair upside-down (it works) after that put flexible hold hairspray in keep it from deflating.

Also, go a salon and tell them about your problem and they can give you a cut that makes your hair look thicker and they can give you thickening shampoos and conditioner and some tips!

Good luck!

Does anyone know any good hair products that create volume?

TIGI Bedhead Superstar! ... It's expensive but definitely worth the money!

Where should the layers start in my hair? And V-Shape?

I am thinking about getting more layers done in my hair. Last time I had only long layers, and a slight (ending up to be unnoticable) angle in the front. People have told me I should try a V-Shape with layers, but I'm not exactly sure what a "v-shape" would look like. Could someone explain that to me? Also, I've heard from other people that too many layers makes your hair look thin. My hair is medium-on the thin side of medium- thickness, very straight, and a few inches below the shoulder, so I don't want it to look thinner. What's a happy-medium length for layers? Pictures of the V-shape and/or layers that you reccomend would be nice.....

Where should the layers start in my hair? And V-Shape?

hey mate, i'm a hairdresser so i think i can help. A V shape is where if you were looking at someone from the back the hair would meet at a point in the centre of the back. So its goes shorter at the front and longer at the spine. Honestly the thin and shaggy look is in - i'd cut the length of the hair rounded not V and i'd do nice shaggy layers, and have a nice emphasis around your crown area. (in other words have your shortest layers finishing just where you can feel your head start to curve into you neck - hope that makes sense) and have a nice slightly thick side bangs. It would look gorgeous! Best of luck.

Black hair????

im black and i have about shoulder length hair, and i wanted to know...how or what can i do to make my hair grow???? please help. PLUS+i have sort of thin hair. thnx

Black hair????

I too have black hair. it is very thick partly because i've used shampoos with panthenol . i tried main %26amp; tail shampoo %26amp; it does make the follicle thicker. pathenol is natural b-based vitamin shampoo available through vitamin catalogs like swanson.com,

%26amp; also i searched a question about my hair on here %26amp; found a great pack of information free the site is :

http://geebal.blogspot.com/2006/2008/nat...

it showed me how to dye my hair %26amp; how to naturall y touch up the color. i used the coffee on mine %26amp; it gave it a lot of body! %26amp; feels good too.

a good b-complex vitamin will help %26amp; that's what you'll find in a multi-but not necessary all the supplements you'll need.

when i used to get perms, my hair would grow like crazy , about 1" a month!! but i've let it grow out %26amp; it grows a littl e slower %26amp; it is more trouble not being curly !

good luck.

Black hair????

maybe you could try google searching hair growth shampoos? i don't really know much about it. good luck!

Black hair????

main and tail shampoo

Black hair????

shampoo/condition it like usual

relax it like usual

what you should do is trim the tips wet/dry (preferably wet)

dont butcher just trim

it makes your hair grow back thicker and longer

Black hair????

you need to deep condition it every other week....pick a good deep conditioner like hair mayonaise and blow dry it for a minute or so. also, stay away from gels and grease. grease clogs the hair shafts in your scalp.

trim the split ends of your hair once or twice a month, and your hair should grow. =] happy hair growing!

Black hair????

I suggest that you start taking Vitamin D or any type of Prenental Vitamins, this will cause your hair to grow "healthier".

While washing your hair, massage your scalp so you can allow the blood to circulate, which might promote some growth.

IF your hair is relaxed, make sure you only relax it about every 2 months..more than 2 months will be better too.

Make sure yo get your ends trimmed every 6 weeks to a month.

I hope I helped.

Why does my hair fall out?

Im 18, i have very thin straight hair, I dont have dyed hair, dont straighten or curl my hair, dont use hair products.

So really my hair should be healthy,|(although i do blow dry it everyday?) and yet its always snapping and loads comes out of the shower everday when i wash it, why is this?

Why does my hair fall out?

500 strands a day is normal and u need to use a hair thickening treatment goodluck and tate a one a day vitamin hair designer here 20 yrs

Why does my hair fall out?

its natural to loose hair no matter what your age is.

its probably more noticable since your hair is long but not noticible to other people.

don't worry about it

Why does my hair fall out?

Well, it's natural for some of it to come out in the shower, but maybe you should try letting it air dry every once in a while. When you blow dry it's a lot easier to break, and many people with thinner hair have hair falling out. If you air dry it, it is more natural, and even though it may not be as puffy as when you blow dry it, it doesn't do damage to your hair. When you blow dry it, it is slowly burning, which is making it thinner and weaker.

Why does my hair fall out?

mine does the same thing.

its because over washing.

your only supposed to shampoo and condition your hair like 3 times a week.

i use shampoo everyday.

and conditioner everyother day.

as long as its not falling completley out your ok.

its just annoying.

Why does my hair fall out?

Everyone keeps saying it's normal to lose 100 pieces of hair each day. I don't care what it says in science journals or magazines. That's not true. A person would be bald by the end of two weeks. I have very long hair and the most hair I lose each day is about 20 pieces a day, sometimes less.

You may be losing hair because of the water in your home. It could be your diet, your health, etc. It's not caused by blow drying. Your hair snaps because it longs for moisture, so maybe use a conditioner. Or If I were you, try to find an herb store and wash your hair with sage, rosemary, red clover, and other herbs. The store will be able to suggest you what types of herbs to buy for hair loss. I heard that Vitamin E oil will help hair loss, too. I wish you the best and hope your hair loss will stop. Oh also, shikakai (an Indian herb), grows all the hair back that a person loses. In a month, you should see good results. The problem is that you have to order on the Internet (I don't like ordering over the Internet). It could be all right for you, though. Please e-mail me and tell me if I helped you. I'd love to hear your response.

Why does my hair fall out?

Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
